My Sister’s Keeper

Students at round table smiling

Our My Sister’s Keeper theme for this year was, “Beyond Books: Teen Mental Health.” Our work was centered on equipping our girls with the tools, language, and confidence to navigate the emotional challenges they face each day. Through honest conversations, shared stories, and meaningful moments of sisterhood, we’ve worked to break stigmas, build resilience, and promote self-care.
Our end of year culminating event today was no different. Our keynote speaker, Flavia Puello Perdomo, NYCPS Chief of Schools for Community Supports & Wellness spoke to the girls of the importance of their own story and how impactful it can be on one’s mental health. In addition, our partners from The Child Mind Institute and the Office of School Mental Health presented on True to You: Exploring Values & Beliefs as it Relates to Mental Health and Teen Dating Violence, respectively. Our time together concluded with school presentations on various topics that addressed mental health. The summit honored and celebrated the strength, courage, and beauty of every girl in our circle.

Empowering the Future: Financial Literacy Summit Success!

Students presenting college decisions

What an amazing day at our Financial Literacy Summit! This year, students dove deep into the world of personal finance, exploring everything from budgeting and saving to understanding investments and planning for life after high school.
The summit was a true celebration of their growth and hard work, bringing together months of learning, collaboration, and practical skills-building. One of the biggest highlights of the day was our culminating activity — Money Tank! Modeled after the popular "Shark Tank" format, this event challenged students to put their financial knowledge to the test by pitching creative, real-world solutions to financial challenges. From business ideas to investment strategies, the final presentations were thoughtful, innovative, and deeply impressive.
Seeing our students confidently present their ideas with clarity and conviction was a powerful reminder of how capable and forward-thinking this next generation truly is. Today wasn’t just a showcase — it was a launchpad. We couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments!
